How to compare vehicles using Triple Bottom Line thinking.

Most people are familiar with the differences between passengar vehicles, SUVs, and light trucks. they may not be familiar with the differences between

• traditional fossil-fuel powered vehicles, and the
• various types of hybrid vehicles, and
• all-electric vehicles.

Because the differences in these categories of vehicles are so drastic, the metrics used to compare them are different as well.

Green Best Buys has accumulated several metrics that we have gleaned from government test statistics, including

• miles/gallon (vehicle efficiency)
• various types of vehicle emissions, and
• horsepower (vehicle performance).

Of course, you may want to compare vehicles by what Green Best Buys calls "Keys", or vehicle: year (2010-2015), make/manufacturer (foreign and domestic), model, and number of cylinders (4-12)

So, you can make your comparisons across multiple years, and multiple numbers of cylinders, to get a much truer comparison of different vehicles for performance, emissions, and efficiency.
